3. How We Use Personal Data
To Provide Our Services

- provide access to Atheros Learning and Atheros Builder;
- deliver courses, ebooks, quizzes, tutorials, and templates;
- issue completion certificates;

- manage AI credits;
- provide subscription access;
- save your projects, notes, progress, and generated content.
To Process Payments
We use billing data to:
- process subscriptions;
- process additional AI credit purchases;

- comply with tax and accounting requirements.
Payments are processed through Stripe.
To Communicate With You
We may use your contact details to:
- send service-related emails;
- send account and billing notifications;

We use Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES) to send these emails.
To Improve Our Services
We may use usage data, learning data, Builder data, prompts, outputs, project data, and related technical data to:
- improve our platform functionality;
- debug technical issues;
- improve user experience;
- improve course quality;
- monitor performance;
- prevent abuse;
- improve the reliability and safety of our AI-powered features.
We do not use your personal data, prompts, uploaded content, project data, generated components, or generated outputs to train our own AI models.
However, when you use AI-powered features, your inputs and related data may be processed by third-party AI providers, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google, to provide the requested functionality. Their processing is governed by our agreements with them and, where applicable, their own terms and policies.
To Market Our Services
We may use personal data to:
- send newsletters;
- promote Atheros products;
- run advertising campaigns;
- measure marketing performance;
- show relevant ads through platforms such as Meta.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
To Comply With Legal Obligations

- enforce our Terms and Conditions;
- protect our rights, users, and platform.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract: to provide your account, subscription, courses, AI tools, credits, and paid services.
- Legitimate interests: to improve our services, prevent abuse, secure the platform, respond to support requests, and understand usage.
- Consent: for certain cookies, marketing communications, or optional processing where required.
- Legal obligation: for tax, accounting, compliance, and regulatory obligations.
5. AI Providers
We may use third-party AI providers to deliver Atheros Builder and related AI-powered features, including:
- OpenAI;
- Anthropic;
- Google.
When you use AI features, your prompts, instructions, uploaded content, project data, component source code, and generated outputs are transmitted to these providers so they can generate or modify components and produce the responses you request. We share this data with them to perform our contract with you, as described in Section 4.
We do not use your personal data, prompts, uploaded content, project data, generated components, or generated outputs to train our own AI models.
You should not submit confidential, sensitive, regulated, or personal data unless you have the right to do so and understand that it may be processed by AI systems in order to provide the requested functionality.
6. Service Providers
We share personal data with the following service providers, which help us operate our business. For each, we list what data they receive and why:
- Stripe — billing name, billing email, billing address, tax information, and payment details, to process payments, subscriptions, invoices, and refunds;
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — our hosting, database, and file-storage provider; account data, usage data, and the content you store on the platform are processed and stored on AWS infrastructure in the eu-west-2 (London, United Kingdom) region;
- Amazon SES — your name and email address, to send transactional emails such as account activation, password resets, and subscription notices;
- OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google — your prompts, instructions, uploaded content, project data, and component source code, to provide AI generation features (see Section 5);
- Google Analytics and Google Ads — usage, device, and approximate location data, for analytics and advertising measurement; these load only if you accept analytics and advertising cookies (see our Cookie Policy);
- Meta Pixel — usage and conversion data, for advertising measurement; loads only if you accept analytics and advertising cookies;
- Sentry — technical error data (browser, device, and error details), for error monitoring;
- Vimeo and YouTube — video delivery; when you view embedded videos, these providers may collect usage data under their own policies.
These providers process data on our behalf or as independent controllers depending on the service and applicable law.
7. International Transfers
We operate globally and use service providers located in different countries. Your personal data may be transferred outside the United Kingdom, European Economic Area, or your country of residence.
Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections, standard contractual clauses, or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain business records.

We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense. However, our use of advertising and analytics tools, such as Meta Pixel and Google Analytics, may be considered "sharing" under some privacy laws.

11. Marketing Communications
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails or contacting us at support@atheros.ai.
We may still send service-related emails, such as billing, account, security, and subscription notices.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. However, no online service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
13. Age Requirements
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a paid plan or use paid features of the Service. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with permission from your parent or legal guardian, where permitted by applicable law and by our third-party AI providers. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not create an account or use the Service.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date.
If changes are material, we may notify you by email or through our services.
